About The Chamber

Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a New England Four Season Experience to the guests and visitors of the area. As a Four Season, One Destination area of our New Hampshire and as an organization whose members are comprised of business and professional individuals, we all work together as one body to assist the area in growing and prospering. The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce provides its members with many opportunities. As a growing and active Chamber with a strong Board of Directors and involved Teams, each is committed to the success of the entire business community.

Located in the one of the most famous and beautifully scenic areas in the State of New Hampshire only enhances the experience one has with the Chamber and the area. Membership consists of business owners, professionals, and individuals, who live and work in the historic and rural communities of  Franconia, Easton, Sugar Hill and surrounding Townships. Members recognize and appreciate the potential of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce and its involvement in a variety of special events and promotional aspects. Each of these activities is promoted through forms of public relations, media exposure, and an intricate and balanced Internet community. This involvement is located in a spectacular and breathtaking setting surrounded by lush woods, forests, mountains, trails and streams. The healthy and active lifestyle and the fine business community the Chamber serves, enhance the overall experience of the Chamber and its clear objectives.

Businesses that support the Chamber are the backbone of their communities and come from diverse areas such as retail and service establishments, real estate professionals, developers and contractors, education, medical and law professionals, and tourism entities. We invite you to join the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce, as it's the premier source of information for guests traveling to and around to the White Mountains. Please help us to continue in our mission to build and sustain an even stronger community. The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce encourages your participation, welcomes new ideas and invites you to its monthly membership meeting held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, location and time to be determined.

Our Team Structure

The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce has an active group of Teams responsible for various aspects related to the Chamber endeavors. Each of these is open to ideas and suggestions and welcomes new members. If you are interested in serving on a Team, please check off your interest on your Membership Application form and a Team Leader will be in touch with you.

TEAM A - Marketing/Advertising - Team Leader, Frank Grima - This Team plays a pivotal and critical role for the Chamber; it is responsible for all promotional aspects related to Chamber endeavors. They coordinate the membership directory, promotional and media endeavors, and collaborative advertising efforts. These include and are not limited to: Personnel - This Team will help to develop the needs and tasks of our Executive Director. Place advertisements; hold interviews to narrow candidates and report. Website - This Team will provide constant monitoring of the FNCC website for accuracy and current events. They also solicit the membership for specials and current events and will work together with the webmaster to proper inclusion on site. They develop regularly scheduled emails for the opt-in list to announce specials and upcoming events. Budget - This Team is the nuts and bolts of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce, as they are responsible for the financial integrity of the organization. Each year they develop the budget for the Chamber, and oversee its operation.

TEAM B - EventsTeam Leader, Ilja Chapman - The Chamber is actively involved in a variety of events with one of its largest being The Lupine Festival. The fundraising initiatives and special events the Chamber partakes in are an important aspect of the Chamber's existence. This Team is responsible to develop, oversee and manage the coordination of these special events and ensures adequate fundraising is being handled and facilitated.

TEAM C - CollaborationTeam Leader, Bob Tortorice - This Team works diligently to cross promote events, marketing, and advertising with other Chambers of Commerce and local Government. This Team is a key and integral part of the Strategic Initiatives as outline in our Strategic Plan.

TEAM D - Membership and NetworkingTeam Leader, Frank Grima and  Executive Director, Barbara Ashley.  Without this Team we would not have our membership growing and at a healthy level. This important Team works to increase and sustain our membership with recruitment and retention efforts. This Team is also responsible for the creation and implementation of our Business After Hours, a monthly meeting Sponsored by a Chamber Member where you meet, greet, and network with area business Owners as well as perspective Chamber Members. They seek out your opinions and thoughts on how the Chamber can perform better, and what those members seek in an organization, which will help their business grow. This Team also provides initiatives that provide membership benefits in a way that is both creative and intuitive.
