A Letter From The President 
As President of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a member of our growing organization. As the primary business association serving the entire Franconia Notch Region, it is the mission of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce to further the business interests of all our members using the collective energy and efforts which is achieved through an active membership.
By promoting our region through destination marketing and advertising efforts, using the power of grant writing, and by fostering an environment wherein individual business owners can network and benefit from the collective power of others, we are raising the bar with regard to the business environment in the White Mountains.
The most powerful elem ent of your Chamber Membership will be the opportunity to network and establish personal contacts with other community business leaders. Collaboration with other area Chambers and the blurring of political boundaries has enabled us to enjoy a more effective marketing and networking experience. Numerous chamber members have realized mutually beneficial business opportunities have developed as a result of their shared involvement and partnering opportunities the Chamber has provided. The Franconia Notch Chamber's referral network is known to be strong and growing stronger every day.
We are bringing together the entrepreneurial insight and energy of the leading businesses from the Franconia Notch region. By working together and sharing our strengths collectively we will continue to go further, together. All members and those considering membership are invited to join our monthly Membership meeting usually held the second Tuesday of every month. The location and time varies, as we like to experience the diverse hospitality made available by our various hosts. We look forward to welcoming you as our newest member and we promise to treasure what ideas and innovation you bring to our table and share with our Teams.

Reasons to Join
In the heart of downtown Franconia, the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce is host to a truly unique Welcome Center on Main Street in Franconia, and strong brochure presence at the Tram Base Lodge and Peabody Lodge (winter only), for visitors seeking tourism and business related information. Each member of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce is able to utilize this promotional tool by placing their promotional materials at these locations. The Welcome Center employee is available to answer questions and concerns from Memorial Day to Columbus Day to visitors. We keep very good statistics about the tourists who travel to our area of the White Mountains.
In addition, our Chamber is involved with many Events on a collaborative basis with surrounding Towns and Chambers that help foster our Chamber mission and our clear objectives which in turn, better promote our membership. Each Event enables a member to choose any level of involvement and participation.
These Events include but are not limited to:
Annual Lupine Festival - Throughout Franconia, Easton, Sugar Hill and beyond, the field of lupine are in abundance in the spring. Each year, the chamber hosts this event, assembles a program, and promotes the activity to the surronding townships. Advertising opportunites at a low rate are available to all members.
Old Home Day - Join us on the Dow field and on Main Street as we celebrate our Nations Birth and a spirit of community.
Annual Antique Show - Attracting antique dealers and buyers from New England and Canada, each year this event presents some of the best antique's ever found. The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce participates in the promotional aspects of the show.
Concerts on Dow Field - A wide array of musical genuis can be enjoyed by folks of all ages on weekends during the Summer on beautiful Dow Field and the Dow Gazebo.

As a member of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce you have access to the extensive marketing and promotional aspects with which the Chamber is involved intending to provide further opportunities for your success. Each year, at no additional cost to you or your business, the Chamber's Board of Directors is guiding calls and visitors to your doorstep, and is maintaining your marketing materials at the Chamber Welcome Center, the Tram Base Station, and the Peabody Lodge. With your membership you could take advantage of these opportunities. The Chamber website has comprehensive and valuable resources to all web users who are seeking information on our beautiful area and our web site is being updated with area events and specials you may be offering for all to see.
Your Business Resource and Connection
The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce is your business resource. And you, as a member, have access to the Chamber's membership database giving you direct access to your fellow members and new clientele and customers. A detailed calendar of events is also a tool you are able to take advantage of. Send in your events to be listed on the calendar each month. This is also sent out in the chamber e-blast that goes to ALL chamber members. This e-blast is filled with special events, and area specials. Get yours included today by becoming a member!
A Networking Center
Getting your name out there and gaining contacts and new customers can be overwhelming and frustrating; don't let it be, let your Chamber help you. By networking at Chamber functions such as the Annual Dinner Meeting, through regular Business Referrals, or at monthly Business After Hour functions, it is a time to share stories, build relationships, meet new and potential Chamber members, thus, you build new contacts in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Chamber Brochure: Members receive a free listing in our new, beautiful full color brochure which tells the story of the natural wonders, events, activities and people of our region, complete with a map, calendar of events, captivating photography, historical sites, shopping, recreation, attractions, services, lodging, dining, and much more. Plus, Chamber members may choose to increase their presence and advertise in this publication. Promotional Mailing: The Chamber regularly sends information to prospective visitors and residents of the area who have requested information on travel or relocation to the area. Our brochure is often requested and contains vital information Tourists are seeking. Vital information such as? YOU'RE BUSINESS LISTING!
Web Site: A free listing (20-30 word description) and web site link (with logo) is available in the business directory on the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce website (www.franconianotch.org). The website currently receives an average of more than 80,000 hits annually. In addition, those seeking to post special events and programs can do so on our Calendar of Events listing posting. Again, only Chamber members can advertise on this web site. Business Referrals (we refer members-only). The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce field's calls on a daily basis from those interested in visiting or relocating to the area and only Chamber members are referred. Chamber members are the highest priority of your Chamber. Brochure and Menu Display: The Chamber allows members to display business information, menus and business cards in the racks and displays cases in its Welcome Center on Main Street, Franconia, which receives hundreds of visitors each summer, and at the Peabody Lodge and Tram Base Lodge. Peabody Lodge is a Winter only brochure area.
Teams: An invitation to participate on Chamber Teams offer members an opportunity to develop leadership skills and serve in vital leadership roles affecting the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce. It also provides individuals with an alternative networking and relationship building opportunity, as well as the chance to have a stronger voice in the development of programming and to share ideas and thoughts. Sponsorship Opportunities: Chamber members may sponsor events (such as the Annual Lupine Festival, Antique Show, and many more) as a way of gaining exposure within the business community and showing your community support. Networking: The Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce offers networking opportunities at coordinated Open Houses, Business After Hours, Annual Dinners and more for members to interact and share ideas and thoughts about their businesses. Mailing Lists & Data Disks: Members are able to purchase the Chamber's membership directory on disk or in label format to use for their promotional and marketing efforts.
Events Calendar: The Chamber coordinates a monthly Events Calendar on its Website in an effort to highlight businesses and their events in the area and to showcase the member's activities to prospective visitors.
Chamber E-News Newsletter: Periodically the Chamber produces and sends an e-newsletter to the members regarding news and information; each member can participate in this promotional vehicle, which will drive business to you. E-Mail Announcement Forwarding: The Chamber will forward any email announcements, events and/or specials to all Chamber members through its exclusive email mailing list.
Bulk Mail Permit: With the rapid rising costs of postage, it is nice to know your Chamber holds a bulk mail permit for its membership to utilize. +200 mail pieces and zip sorting are required. With a little planning and help from your Chamber Board of Directors, we can help you to reduce the cost of your large mailings.
Advertising and Promotional Opportunities: Each year the Chamber coordinates cooperative advertising efforts such as with Yankee Magazine, AAA-USA and AAA-Canada, White Mountain Attractions, Ski New Hampshire, Best Read Guide and others. Plus, the Chamber has joint winter marketing programs with Cannon Mountain and Bretton Woods Mountain Resort. Lastly, advertisements are placed in American Express and the Boston Globe. Only members are able to participate in these efforts at a reduced rate.
Board of Directors Meetings: Unlike some chambers, our Chamber welcomes the membership to attend our regularly scheduled monthly Board meetings. Members are invited to attend, share ideas, get involved on Teams and network with other Chamber members.
