Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country has been established to provide year-round opportunities in sports and recreation for people with physical or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to enhance the personal development and self-esteem of participants, and to provide them with an opportunity to take risks in a safe and supportive environment. It is our core belief that, for a person with a disability, the opportunity to experience the thrills of the outdoors can often be a life-affirming experience. The organization is committed to including the families of its participants, volunteers, partner organizations, and the North Country community in its efforts.

Bretton Woods Adaptive provides instruction to enable persons with physical or developmental challenge s to participate in recreational sports. BWA strives to foster independence and to maximize abilities so that each participant reaches his/her potential as an athlete in their chosen sport. The program offers sports and recreation for those with disabilities. Conveniently located on the base level of the Mountain Lodge at The Mount Washington Resort, Bretton Woods Adaptive serves the whole family making it possible for everyone to enjoy the thrills and delights of the outdoors. BWA is able to accommodate people with a various disabilities by using a variety of techniques and equipment to meet the diverse needs of adaptive sports enthusiasts. All BWA recreational sports and activities are supported by a staff of well trained and experienced volunteers of high school to retiree ages who come from all over New England. Some volunteers have disabilities themselves and know first-hand the challenges and triumphs faced by participants and their families. BWA is a chapter of Disabled Sports/USA and partners with AbilityPLUS at Waterville Valley and New England Disabled Sports (NEDS) at Loon in the Northeast Adaptive Sports Coalition (NEASC) to provide additional recreational offerings.

Located behind Evergreen Sports on Route 302, BGNC provides after school and summer programs following the mission of Boys and Girls Clubs of America: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The office is open daily: 10am - 3pm, the Club is open daily: 3pm - 6pm.

Clark's Guiding Adventures a variety of fly-fishing experiences. Wade in the waters of northern New Hampshire or enjoy fishing on the water from Chris' fully-equipped guide boat. Packages include a full day of lessons and instructions designed to develop skills and inspire learning. Lessons based on previous experience and skill level, Chris Clark grew up along the banks of the Ammonoosuc River in Lisbon, NH and has been fly fishing since he was 12 years old. Trained in Montana and certified in NH to practice as a licensed fishing guide in 2009, Chris has worked at a variety of fishing camps in the North Country. He is currently serving on the board of directors for the Ammonoosuc Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and was awarded a grant to study the art of classic Atlantic Salmon fly-tying.

The Franconia Soaring Association (FSA) is New Hampshire's only soaring club. conveniently located at the Franconia Airport just two hours North of Boston in the picturesque White Mountains of New Hampshire. FSA operates a well-maintained fleet of gliders, including a high performance 2-seat Grob Twin Astir. The club offers scenic rides, introduction to soaring flights, glider rentals, flight instruction, and glider towing. The airport is a few miles West of Franconia Notch State Park and Cannon Mountain ski area, offering some of the best ridge and thermal soaring in the Northeast. Many times throughout the season, mountain wave soaring can also be experienced. The Mt. Washington wave is the strongest in the Northeast and flights of over 35,000 feet have been recorded there. On good soaring days, cross-country pilots routinely fly to Mt. Washington and Vermont. The club operates from mid May though late October, weather and field conditions permitting. Towing and introduction to soaring flights are available Saturday and Sunday, Fridays by special arrangement and on Mondays during holiday weekends. Soaring is a safe and exhilarating sport, and Franconia is a special place to enjoy flying over the mountain scenery. FSA operates 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday. Sunday and Mondays during holiday weekends Mid June through mid October.
