The Logger’s original ever evolving one-man comedy tour de force has played to hundreds of thousands of fans throughout Vermont, Northern New York (state, not city), and around New England since The Logger first took the stage in 1998. Rusty says, “I know some proceeds going to the Franconia Notch Chamber will be put to great use, and, this time of year is perfect to get out and chuckle the mud season dampness out of your bones.”
The show is an all out comedy which features DeWees playing a host of off-beat, rural characters (plus a few white platers from down country), and has spawned videos, CDs, calendars, DVDs, a clothing line (not BVDs) and now a book, “Scrawlins.” This edition of the show features new routines, and great North Country style music with Champion Old Time Fiddler Don Commo, and Rusty playing guitar and singing wicked good country stompers.
The Boston Globe says The Logger is, “Inventive, entertaining, exceptional!”
In addition to writing his book, DeWees has recently played a series of show in Maine, along with benefits and sold out Holiday shows. He speaks at High Schools on career and a substance free lifestyle and guess what? Rusty will be speaking to the students at Profile High School on Friday! Rusty also writes a weekly newspaper column. The actor has appeared nationally on shows including, “Law and Order,” “Saturday Night Live,” and films, “Black Dog,” with Patrick Swayze, and, “Pieces of April,” with Katie Holmes. He’s worked with well-known Vermont filmmaker Jay Craven on “A Stranger in the Kingdom” and “Disappearances,” starring Kris Kristoferson.
DeWees will fill the tank, prime it, and pull the cord, for two HUGE shows at The Littleton Elks Lodge, RTE.302, Bethlehem, NH on Friday and Saturday, April 9th and 10th, 2010 from 8 - 10pm. Tickets $20.00. +21, positive I.d. required. Get em' while they last!
